  View Printable Version
GNU/LinuxUbuntu 9.04 aka Jaunty Jackalope has been released as Desktop Edition, Server Edition, and Netbook Remix. For people who like KDE, there is Kubuntu 9.04, and if you prefer Xfce, there is Xubuntu 9.04. This new Ubuntu release delivers a host of new features, as well as lots of improvements. Boot times were a focus of this release, and have been shortened. They've also put time and effort into WiFi and 3G, broadening hardware support for switching between the two. It also comes with the brand new notification system. Nice!
