NetBSD 6.0 released

OpenBSD/NetBSDNetBSD 6.0 was released on October 17th, 2012. Changes from the previous release include scalability improvements on multi-core systems, many new and updated device drivers, Xen and MIPS port improvements, and brand new features such as a new packet filter.

OpenBSD 4.9

OpenBSD/NetBSDOpenBSD 4.9 has been released. Some of the new things are:
  • NTFS (read-only) enabled by default
  • can boot on machines with up to 64 cores
and more. Cool!

OpenBSD 4.8 released

OpenBSD/NetBSDOpenBSD 4.8 has been released. Some new things:
i386 and amd64
  • ACPI-based suspend/resume works on most machines with Intel/ATI video. Machines using NVidia graphics will not resume the graphics. cardbus(4) and pcmcia(4) will still have some problems, too.
other things:
  • Support for Intel Core i3/i5 internal graphics (Ironlake) has been added to inteldrm(4) and agp(4).
  • Support for 800x480 has been added to udl(4).
And lots of more, as usual.
